Our project and instructional design clients vary widely. One client wanted initial concept and design assistance developing a new staff mentor program for their 500+ employee agency. We worked with this client to move ideas through the internal committee process and into a refined program structure. Although this client had a program manager staff in place, the client determined the need for an external trainer. Dion Consulting has successfully delivered project based training for this client for the past three years.
Another client had developed an extensive training program, designed to support service and family members who were deploying overseas. This client had program evaluation data and had a ‘sense’ that their outreach and education program could demonstrate a greater impact in their target community.
Working with an internal team, national veteran’s services and breaking research, we supported this client in creating a strong foundation or framework for their education and outreach program. Once the framework was established and aligned with research and service branch directives, we worked to align and redesign the education and outreach content of both face to face and web based training.
We supported this client with in depth services designed to build a sustainable infrastructure to use long after we completed our contract. Included in these services were an educational framework, instructional design components, training for trainers, and an evaluation process designed to grow over time.
In another contract, two partner agencies that wanted to jointly fund a small expansion project, required initial support toclarify the scope of the joint venture ideas. Speaking at their monthly meetings, assessing agency priorities and profiling current industry trends, helped us to support our client in defining project details. We worked to develop a dual agency budget, and identify a project process that allowed for consistent dual agency input. Working with the identified leadership team we successfully developed the project deliverables on time and within the budget parameters.
