Personal Statement

Sue Dion’s passion for forming teams, effective communication and sharing creative outcomes has been evident since her early days organizing neighborhood plays and projects in the back yards of the Chicago suburbs.

With over a decade in the K-12 public and private education systems, in five different states, she grew her effective relationship skills, solution centered thinking and professional pedagogy to support the development of high level skills as a teacher, trainer and consultant.

Sue’s cross country moves and status as a military spouse provided her with practice identifying tools and strategies that honor and transcend unique work place cultures, bear witness to change and innovation, and bringing to the surface the knowledge and talents in working groups.

Eleven years in higher education, teaching and managing large projects solidified Sue’s connections with current trends, action base research, synthesizing, integrating, budgeting, systems chance, effective presentation skills, working in government systems and with private funders, and built a solid foundation to support the integration of large scale change designed to take cutting edge learning and innovation and identify effective solutions and strategies to step it down to the day to day needs of practitioners/workers.

Her work in the late 90’s found her among a team of web based learning pioneers, using early technology to revolutionize access to higher education and lead field building changes.

Under her leadership, innovation flourished and by exploring emerging trends, questioning long held assumptions and supporting university and community partners through the effective implementation of new ideas and new models for instructional design new systems and strategies for credentialing workers skills and training employees emerged.

Effective project management and instructional design incorporate a wide range of skills sets designed to support clients through a multi level change and innovation process with profound results. Sue is delighted to support this process and is committed to bringing needed resources and talent to projects, small and large, to support the implementation of strategic and practical solutions.
